  3. Sustainability • Drinking fountains installed! • Union Station (2) • GB (1) • Scotia Bank Hall (1) • Tower (1) • Market, Thistle, Welch, Tower (2nd)? • Water Bottles! Please use them!  • We have 4000, tell your friends!

Sustainability Cont’d • Environmental Committee • Liaising with Sustainability Niagara • Presentations, Seminars, Best Practices, Campaigns • Working with Roland and Advocacy dept. for Organic Waste/ Sustainability Campaigns • Working with Brock and Brock’s Sustainability Committee • GB making great strides in Sustainable practices!

  5. Hybrid Space • Cairns Furniture delivered! • GB Furniture delivered! • Walker Complex furniture here Sept. 20 • Working on space in Plaza for 24-Hour study • Mac Chown?... Email president@busu.net

Pedagogical Innovation • Meetings with Anna Lathrop, Sandy Howe, Linda Rose-Krasnor • Experiential Learning vs. Service Learning vs. Traditional Undergraduate education • Hoping to draft a Political Policy next BUSAC meeting – PI is a core principle of Brock’s SMA and Strat. Plan! • Also, Online Learning, Tri-Semester and Research Innovation

  7. Student Life • Ongoing meetings for oversight of Student Life Fee spending/ MOU completion • Committee meetings • Sitting on 24-Hour Social/ Study Space Committee • Completed! • Update: LIBRARY ENTRANCE NOW OPEN !!! • Doors will be accessible until Library closed (Friday until 5pm)

  8. Wellness Week • Planning Ongoing! • 5 Pillars: Mental, Emotional, Physical, Spiritual, Lifestyle (wellness) • Programming based each day on ONE pillar • Events, seminars, prizes, 24-Hour study programming • Goals: De-stress, Anti-Stigma, Educate & Entertain

Program Review • Currently Sitting on Task Force for Program Review Committee • Also a Working Group • In Process of accepting Program Identification Forms • Next will be Program Prioritization Forms • October-December will be evaluation, organization and prioritization period • Ongoing talks with University Senate/ Senators

For The Future • Work with BUFA • Student Led Teaching Awards • Part of Academic Affairs mandate? • Encourage more Service to Undergraduate Students (Evaluations, Awards, Incentives) • New Building • Discussions/ Focus Groups • Comprehensive study of other institutions • Meetings with Goodman School of Business (neighbours)

  11. For the Future • Campus Planning • Atrium Project • Transit Station Transformation • The “Brock Mall” and Commemorative Project • Taro – BUSU courtyard?
