EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES • C-182T NAV III (G-1000) • Cessna FITS (FAA Industry Training Syllabus) • Scenario based training (5 hours training) • Provide aircraft with secondary capability • Mission equipment (SDIS, Satellite Phone, TDFM-136) • Dual comm panel • Difference from commercial models
EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES • C-182T NAV III (G-1000) • Proficiency essential • System knowledge (ie autopilot, stormscope, etc) • 3-5 hours of minimum training per syllabus • 2 aircraft in FLWG / 65+ in CAP fleet
EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES • GA-8 Airvan • 300HP Eight Passenger aircraft • 3 hour training syllabus • Commercial / Instrument rated pilot • Mission equipment (SDIS, Satellite Phone, TDFM-136, ARCHER) • Modular mission capability • GNS 480 / NAT 44 Comm Panel
EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES • GA-8 Airvan • Proficiency essential • System knowledge (ie refer to Section 9 Aircraft Flight Manual, etc) • Weight and Balance • 1 on loan from NHQ to FLWG / 16 in CAP fleet
TRAINING • C-182T G-1000 Funding • 3-5 hours of USAF funded for mission pilot assigned to unit receiving aircraft • GA-8 Transition Funding • CAPR 60-11 Pilot Continuation Training • Request through DOV • 1 hour of proficiency flying with ground seminar • Similar to FAA Wing Seminar with flying
TRAINING • Form 5/91 Check Ride • USAF funding available only for qualified mission pilots or pilot taking Form 91 • Water Survival Training • Mission Continuation Training • FRO / WMIRS • New release codes • Require input into Web Mission Information Reporting System (WMIRS)
TRAINING • CAP Standardized Aircraft Checklist • Only CAP and manufacturer check approved for CAP aircraft • Must be signed by Wing Maintenance Officer • Aircraft Information File
TRAINING • CAP Online Course • Flight Simulator /Abacus • Monthly squadron proficiency
SPECIAL EMPHASIS • Airspace • 3 airspace violations in 12 months • Ground Handling • 3 aircraft damage in FLWG in 12 months • $ 12,000.00 damages
