  1. Schlösser, Burge, Festungen und Ruinen • Today your task it to explore some of the castles in Germany. You will pick one castle to do a short power point on. You will receive a project grade for this assignment. It will be due at the end of class. You may choose any castle you wish. • Title Slide: Name of Castle, fort or ruins in German / your German Name / and period • Include photos of the castle in your powerpoint • Include a map of Germany and the approximate location of the castle on the map / Include the coat of arms of the German State that the castle is located in.

Required Elements • Title Slide: Name of Castle, fort or ruins in German / your German Name / and period • Include photos of the castle in your powerpoint • Include a map of Germany and the approximate location of the castle on the map / Include the coat of arms of the German State that the castle is located in. • Include the date of its building and if it is a ruins, tell when it was demolished • Include some information on the Castle’s history (Was it important? Why? Who was it occupied by? Who built it? Was it ever used in war?) – try to answer some of these questions. • Hyperlink to the homepage for the castle (if there is one) • Write a short paragraph in German about your impressions of the castle or of castles in Germany (maybe 4-5 sentences) • Extra Credit • Any particular interesting stories about this castle (put it on a slide and label the slide (Extra Credit) • If you find you have extra time after you finish your project, please study quietly or practice your poem for next week. There is also a quia link for extra work with relative pronouns.
