Congruent Angles- Angles with the same measures – The rays do not have to be the same lengths • Vertical Angles- Angles formed by intersecting lines (opposite angles are congruent) • Supplementary Angles- Two angles that have a sum of 180° • Complementary Angles- Two angles that have a sum of 90°
To find missing angles Write an equation based on the properties of the angles you are given. Example 1) What type of angles are these? Supplementary x + 42 = 180 -42 -42 x = 138° 42 x
