  3. Public Information • The pointers agreed upon by the area committee/inter group post well informed group conscious to be noted down. • Suggested term for the PI Agenda be three months and following fourth month be kept for introspection. • The PI agenda to cover topics/activities revolving around three major areas: Cooperation with Professional Community),Correctional Facility Committee(CFC),Treatment facility Committee(TFC).

For example :- PI Agenda of KAC-1 • Sub Committee Orientation Program- The purpose of the orientation program will be to educate and bring awareness among the Sub Committee (TFC,CFC,CPC) members to follow the guidelines/literature approved by the GSOI while executing the activities. • Visit to 12 Treatment/Rehabilitation Centre’s-Bridging the Gap program from Treatment Facility Committee. • One visit to the correctional facility per month. • Renovation of the Website-The budget being Rs.25,000/-.

  5. For example :- PI Agenda of KAC-1 • Meet with the Traffic Commissioner and facilitating the awareness amongst the department. Graveyard poster Campaign • Short poster display/Ad’s in movie theaters. • NEW Office Space • Articles in Newspaper-5 Articles in a quarter Radio Activity-Once in a quarter • Permission for Juvenile Home Colleges and Hospitals-Sustaining the existing as well as proceeding with specific new institutions. • Poster Campaign full effectiveness in Kolar and Bengaluru Rural.

  6. Press Meet • The purpose of the press meet is to provide information to the various media(print and mass) professional within the geographical limitation of that service body to AA. • Ideal to include two speakers from AA(one women speaker is great to have) along with the class A trustee. The best time to engage in a press meet is during the anniversary/convention.

  7. Press Meet • A fact file consisting of basic approved literature to be provided to each and every professional who is entering the press club. Simultaneously humbly request their name, contact number and their employer which will be maintained and documented to establish further relations with them. • Request the professionals to abstain from clicking pictures of members of AA, if they wish to do so they can contact the Class A Trustee. • Kindly ask for the list of media and press contact list from the press club at the end of the program.

DO’s-Suggested • NEATLY DRESSED-Best Preferred would be formals with shoes. • CARRY A SMILE. • START WITH A FIRM HANDSHAKE. • TAKE PRIOR APPOINTMENT AND REACH THE VENUE MIMIMUM 15 Mins EARLY. • WAIT TILL ASKED TO BE SEATED. • DO NOT STAMMER, BE CONFIDENT. • AVOID MEETING FRIENDS OF AA AFTER SMOKING. • DO A BASIC HOMEWORK ON HIS SOCIAL MEDIA PREFERENCES.

  12. Dont’s-Suggested • Never make use of any friend of AA for your personal bottlenecks or problems. • Do not call the individuals on Weekends. • Drop a message if they do not pick the call.

  13. WHAT TO TALK? • Introduction about yourself.(Limited to Visiting Card and current post in structured service body) • THE UNIQUESNESS of Alcoholics Anonymous is in its “PREAMBLE”. Correlate your discussion along with the main facts mentioned within the Preamble. • DRUNKALOGUE SHARING IS A BIG “NO”. Stick to the agenda, be precise and to the point. • Carry sufficient GSO approved literature. • Confirm the next meeting before completing the discussion..

  14. WHAT NEXT? • Gift Cards and Cakes on Special Occasions. • Regular phone contact with respect to AA activities/updates if any. • Leads from the individual within their professional circle. • Maintain an excel sheet of the list of Friends of AA. • Follow Up.
