  3. Community and Stakeholder Engagement Engaged with over 50 community members and local elected leaders in the first 4 weeks. • Newark School Board • Local Advocates • Parents • Educators • Clergy • Philanthropic Partners • State Legislators • Mayor & City Council

  4. District Operations & School Readiness • Much of the past 4 weeks has been spent meeting with NPS staff to learn about the current state of affairs – budget, personnel, facilities, etc. • Impressed with the caliber of the team and the leaders that I’ve already met during my Family Support Center and school visits. • In the coming weeks our primary focus will be to ensure that we successfully open schools in September – welcoming back our committed staff and exceptional students and families!
