  1. Anti-Aging Skin Care And Vitamin C

  2. A few years back Vitamin C in skin care products was all the rage in the fight against aging skin. Today it is still a key ingredient in preventing and diminishing age spots and wrinkles yet the science and technology is even better. So why don't women know all about it? With skin care there is always the latest peptide or acid or claim that makes the headlines - after all isn't new always better? Yet tried and true technology even if it is improved will help you in the fight against aging skin. Vitamin C is just the case. This vitamin continues through newer and better methods to help fight against wrinkles, age spots, sagging skin and more.

  3. Originally it was thought that Vitamin C used in skin care treatments in the form of ascorbic acid needed to have a 10% concentration and low ph in order to stimulate collagen, decrease wrinkle depth and have lightening effects on skin pigmentation. Newer studies indicate that a lower concentration of 5% may also benefit skin.

  4. Vitamin C is a potent anti-oxidant that will protect all users with protection from UV ray cell damage even if it does not keep you looking younger. Seemingly, not all users will benefit from the anti-aging action, although the majority of the public will. Partly this is because some skin care products just simply do not contain enough of the active ingredient to make a visible difference on their skin. That is why it is important to see clinical testing done by the company for proven results.

  5. Vitamin C in the form of Ascorbic Acid is very expensive plus it is very unstable and deteriorates quickly rendering it ineffective. Yet there are other effective varieties of Vitamin C such as Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorabte:A special Vitamin-C Ester proven to penetrate the skin and deliver 50-times the active Vitamin-C as Ascorbic Acid. Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorabte protects the skin against cell damage, plus it has excellent hydrating and anti-oxidant properties. This form of Vitamin C has been clinically verified to stabilize free radicals in the aging process and help the body produce collagen and elastin the two most important elements in fighting the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

  6. The newer derivatives of Vitamin C includingAscorbyl palmitate, Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate and Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, are proving as effective as ascorbic acid in collagen stimulation, effective in lower concentrations, more stable and less expensive and therefore a better choice in skin care. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate has tested especially promising, and seems to perform better in some people who lacked results from Ascorbic Acid.

  7. To help skin combat aging, look for Vitamin C derivatives in your moisturizer. The benefit of an anti-aging cream is to: Reduce and repair fine lines and wrinkles Promote soft, supple and smooth skin Help prevent the formation of new fine lines and wrinkles Support firmness and strengthen skin
