What needs to happen in Lincolnshire? We need a greater understanding for everyone in Lincolnshire of exactly what Hate Crime is People need to know they CAN report incidents (only 9 disability reportings last year in this area) People need to know HOW they can report incidents People need to know WHAT support is available when they report
‘Champions’ who have been the victims of Hate Crime and come through the other end need to tell their stories ‘Victims’ need to be involved in setting priorities, the focus and the targets for work to develop support that in Lincolnshire focused
What needs to be done to ensure, across agencies, there is a victim focused service? We need awareness sessions for people We need to set up working groups that will feed in to all decision maker Organisations We need to support these working groups to direct services and set priorities in Lincolnshire We need to support ‘Champions’ to tell their stories We need to work jointly with other Organisations We need to work with the Police and Crime Commisioner to ensure a more co-ordinated victim focused service is provided
