  1. God Cares

  2. God Cares 1 Pet 5.7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

  3. God Cares Psa 40:17 • But I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God. • Psa 8:3-4 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?

  4. God Reveals Mar 4:33-34 • With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand. He did not say anything to them without using a parable. • But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.

  5. God’s Promises Mar 4:35 • That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Luk 18:6-8 And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

  6. Storms ??? Mar 4:33-34 • And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything. Jn 6:18-19 A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. When they had rowed three or three and a half miles,

  7. God’s Presence Mar 4:38 • But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow.

  8. God’s Presence Exo 33:15-16 • Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?"

  9. God’s Presence Mar 6.45-48 • Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away. And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray. Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land. Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by. • Jn 6:21 Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.

  10. God’s Presence Exodus 14.19-20 • Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel's army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them, coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darknessto the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long.

  11. Prayer Mar 4:38 • The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"

  12. Prayer Exodus 14.10-12 They were terrified and cried out to the Lord. They said to Moses, "Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Didn't we say to you in Egypt, 'Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians'? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!"

  13. Prayer Exodus 14:13-15 • Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." • Then the Lord said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on."

  14. Prayer Exodus 14:37-38 The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

  15. Faith Mark 4.40 He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" Luk 18:6-8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

  16. God’s Authority Mark 4.39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. Mat 8:27 The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"

  17. God’s Authority Job 41.1-4 Can you pull in the leviathan with a fish hook or tie down his tongue with a rope? Can you put a cord through his nose or pierce his jaw with a hook? Will he keep begging you for mercy? Will he speak to you with gentle words? Will he make an agreement with you for you to take him as your slave for life?

  18. God’s Authority Rev 5.1-5 Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, "Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?" But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."
