REMODECE2. Project meeting WP4 Casper Kofod CK@Energypiano.dk Meeting at ISR 24-25. Sep. 2007
WP4 Report including 16 equipments • Every equipment describes short by functionality, units, pictures, references, web site og prices • Two equipments for standby consumption at installation • 11 equipment don’t give a full solution but have to be combined with other systems • 1 non-intrusivt system • 5 full solutions: Enertech, Watteco, Auit, Elec. Housekeeper and Innovus
D8 Purpose • The campaign concept of end-uses in focus - “old” countries - “new” EU-countries. • Developed ID system to handle all measurements • Prepared guidelines for preparation of measurements, installation, data retrieval, quality control and repair of data. This include standby measurement. • Comparison of country campaigns. • Description of the campaigns per 12 countries. • Description of equipment used for measurements.
Selection of 100 customers • DK: Customers with ADSL Internet connection which reflected to advertisement • FR: Radio/Newspapers/Email advertisement – Participation to a home exhibition – circle of acquaintances • GE: Focus on househoulds with TV and computer equipment • GR: Personal contacts • PT: Selected among the utility EDP consumers with remote meter reading.
Problems meet in the campaign • Difficult to find households with the requested appliances (especially large TV screens) • Technical problem to monitor the total consumption from the electrical meter • Dataloggers unconnected (pulled out) by utility staff during the monitoring campaign • Very sensitive lampmeters (Enertech)that do not work always. • Had often to make cluster monitoring instead of seperate end-use monitoring due to lack of equipment. • First verion of new equipment had problem with radio contact between the home central and the metering units due to a software problem. • In case the customers turn smart dimmers off with the switch instead of the remote control delivery of monitoing data may stop in case the units are far away from the control unit and thus have to perform chain communication (no problem if the customer has a new wireless wall controls but this is often not the case in an experiment in already existing installations.
