Make sure the file is not already opened on your desktop or a read-only file. If so, you won’t be able to access the same file on your QuickBooks accounting software.

Tap on the security tab, select Edit and then select Add option. • Type everyone and then select OK. • Choose the Full Control option and then hit to Apply button. • Repeat the above step enter “Users” instead of “Everyone”. • Open control panel and search for UAC and then select Change User Account Control settings. • According to your preference, you can select any of the following;

After this, restart your computer to apply changes. • Turn on UAC: here you can slide the bar to choose when you want to get notified. Press OK when you’re done. If a dialog box appears to enter your password or provide confirmation.
