A word or two about the paper/project • The project (draft, April 13, 9am; final paper, May 3, 9am) presents a "state of the art" literature and case review of one of the "emerging trends" covered in the. • The project must extend and update material in the texts. • Although brief summaries of materials in the texts may be presented as background, the project may not merely repeat; it must extend and update.
A word or two about the paper/project • You are not expected to “take or defend” a position. • You do not have to solve a problem. • You do not have to show that there is a problem. • You are not to try to prove or disprove the trend. • You are only asked to UPDATE THE TREND with regard to current events (esp. in the last two years).
A word or two about the paper/project • You DO NOT need to spend much time reviewing the status quo or defining the topic • As long as you get it right (check with me), a very brief summary is enough. • Spend time and space updating the trend • Any new cases? • Any new laws? • Any new arguments? • Any new situations, changes in the status quo, data about the trend?
