2. Definition of Title I: • Title I provides federal funding to schools to help students who are low achieving or at most risk of falling behind. • Title I is allocated to schools based on the percentage of student receiving free/reduced lunch. • Schools with a percentage of at least 40% are eligible for a schoolwide program.

3. Anderson Public School Is a Title I School.

Title I: • The school uses Title I funds to upgrade the entire educational program of the school. • Title I funds are used to serve all children in order to raise academic achievement. • Title I funds will be used to provide additional assistance to all students who experience difficulties in meeting the State’s performance targets.

5. To be a “Schoolwide” School: • The school must have a free/reduced lunch count of at least 40%. • The school must collect and analyze data that effects student achievement. • The school must develop a comprehensive site plan and annually review the effectiveness of the plan.

Summary: • Provide a high-quality learning environment for students • Positive, enriching education experience • Give students tools to successfully transition from Pk-6th grade and continue to thrive • Continue the improvement of present Reading/ELA and Math teaching strategies and the implementation of new ideas

Focus Goals • Meet all school Math and Reading benchmarks/objectives for each grade. • Analyze all student data • Maintain the diversity in routine methods of communication for all stakeholders. • Provide additional training for best-practice school safety procedures and implement any changes necessary.

Focus Goals • Create and elaborate on the number of ways parents are able to volunteer at Anderson. • Provide self-assessment & evaluation of teaching methods using data-driven methods during vertical and horizontal team meetings; meeting a minimum of bi-annually • Address Professional Development areas of need

11. Curriculum and Instructional Strategies: • Collaborate with special education teacher and speech pathologist to meet OAS standards • Math and Reading assessments/benchmarks • Family Literacy Nights/Parent Nights provide for family skill practice time

12. Assessment: • Observations – Ongoing to assess any social or cognitive areas of concern • Math/Reading – 3 Benchmarks Annually using several different methods and programs to obtain and overall assessment of each students’ progress and needs.

13. School-Parent Compact • Copy of the School-Parent Compact is in the main office of Anderson Public School

14. Parent’s Right to Know – Non-Highly Qualified Teachers • Schools are required to notify parents if their child has been taught for four or more consecutive weeks by a teacher that is not highly qualified. • All teachers are Highly Qualified at Anderson
