Practice • Team members come to team practice. • Unlike some other activities, track & field development must occur regularly. Missing complete days on a regular basis is not moving in a positive direction for individual or team development! • After school at school from 3-4:45p.m. (usually) Some days off at Tyler State Park (mostly for distance) • Dress appropriately. It is winter; it is cold. We train outside almost all the time!
Shoes • See Coach Meistering’s Shoe Advice on the Track & Field Website • Your shoes are critical to being injury-free. Good shoes help prevent injuries to your feet • Help prevent injuries to your ankle, shin, knee, hip, and even your back. • All shoes should pass the “bendy” test (borrowed from an Div. I All-American Runner who is a podiatrist)
