We Indians are aware of Diya as it’s very close to our hearts. For others who don’t know about what it is, Diya is a small lamp and it is also known as ‘Deepak’ or ‘Deep’. A Diya is a traditional candle. Mainly we see the relation of Diwali and Diya and it’s just amazing. Diya’s aren’t just for Diwali they are for every occasion or festival. They light up our homes and our lives as well. Traditional Diya Now a days there are a lot of Diya’s available in the market from traditional diya’s made from soil to Wax diya’s, Gel diya’s, Glass diya’s and the battery orperated diya’s. But I think the exact Earthen lamp is the one made from soil, “Mitti Ka Diya”. 1/5

  2. Floating Diya So here are some ideas to make your own beautiful diya’s by decorating it : Diyas look more beautiful by coloring them with different colors and giving them small floral designs. Painted Diya Decorate your diya with some shells, beads, some glass pieces, golden lace and these decoration are for the plane diya that you will decorate. 2/5
