WHY ELECTRONICS Electronics is the branch of science and technology which makes use of the controlled motion of electrons through different media and vacuum. The ability to control electron flow is usually applied to information handling or device control. Electronics is distinct from electrical science and technology, which deals with the generation, distribution, control and application of electrical power Electronics technology majors learn the basic skills needed to operate, maintain, install, and repair electronic equipment.
MY AIMS • To ply a significant role for the betterment of electronics technology in Pakistan. • To give students the skills they can use in field . • develop abilities in students that • are relevant to the study and practice of electronics • are useful in everyday life • encourage efficient and safe practice • encourage effective communication
ASSESSMENT OBJECTIVES • Students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding in relation to: • scientific phenomena, facts, laws, definitions, concepts, theories; • Electronics & Telecom vocabulary, terminology, conventions including symbols, quantities and units • Electronics & Telecom instruments and apparatus, including techniques of operation and aspects of safety • Scientific and technological applications with their social, economic and environmental implications.
SCHEME OF ASSESSMENT Asking questions during the lecture Assignments should be given to be worked out at home. Encourage students to explain the concept in their own words Class test at the end of each chapter including reasoning questions accompanied with multiple choice questions Arrange group discussion and let each student participate College exams at the end of each terms
