MATERIALS FOR BROCHURE • Your brochure needs to be CREATIVE and COLORFUL. • Materials are due THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2013. • They should include: • Colorful paper (green for Grasslands, blue for Oceans or Fresh Lakes) to cover the boring Oaktag we give you! • Stickers, Lettering, Scrapbooking Decorative Pieces • Stickers that represent your biome or animal • Funky lettering to help your brochure STAND OUT • Decorative design stickers to add SPUNK • These items can be found at the DOLLAR STORE, Target, Michaels, Wal-Mart, and JoAnne Fabrics • Due in SCIENCE CLASS by THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2013. (WORTH FIVE POINTS)
Today’s Checklist - Science • Finish remaining research on FOSS or an APPROVED library website (most of you do not need to do this step!) • Once you have completed your research, begin working on your OUTLINE • Go to Miss Smith’s page (Smith, T.) • Click the “Research Project 2013” tab • Scroll down to the “OUTLINE” section • Follow the directions once you have UPLOADED and SAVED your outline (direction #1) – this outline is meant to be SIMPLE so long as you FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS (yes, that means you have to read them!!!) • If you do not finish your outline in class, it becomes HOMEWORK – access it at home, finish it, print it out (or email to trewbm@svsd.net) and bring it to SCIENCE CLASS tomorrow!!
Today’s Checklist - English • Even if you have not finished your research or your outline (both things you will work on in SCIENCE), please follow today’s check-list for ENGLISH: • Get out your SOURCE SHEETS (all of them!) • Access Noodletools (under the “Visual” tab in Destiny) • Begin working on your WORKS CITED page • Please ask ME if you have a question; otherwise, this is a SILENT work assignment. • Friendly SCIENCE Reminder: If you do not finish your outline in class, it becomes HOMEWORK – access it at home, finish it, print it out (or email to trewbm@svsd.net) and bring it to SCIENCE CLASS tomorrow!!
