  1. The Conditionals Sentences : Type 0 , 1 , 2 and 3

  2. First: The conditional sentence is actually a complex sentence. Therefore, it must contain two clauses: 1- if clause. (subordinate clause) 2- main clause . (an apodosis is the main clause in a conditional sentence) Sentences :Secondly: Four kinds of conditional 1- Type 0 2- Type 1 3- Type 2 4- Type 3

The Zero ConditionalRule: if+ Subject + present verb , subject + present verb.Type 0: 1-is used for things that always true/ scientific laws 2-When the incidence of thing 100% eg: IfWaterfreezes ,it turns into ice.If we put sugar in water , It dissolves The First Conditional Rule: if + subject + present verb , Subject + will + infinitive verb.

  4. Type 1 : 1-is used to show that something may / is possible to happen . 2-The probability of occurrence of 50% eg:If he works hard ,he will succeed Ifhe works hard ,he may succeed If the weather is good tomorrow , we will go out Note: You Can use May, Can ,Shall Instead of Will.

The Second Conditional Rule:If + subject+ past verb , Subject = would + infinitive verb.Type 2 : 1- is used to show something which is unreal – contrary to the present – factor in the future 2- A future condition is unlikely to happen any incidence of 10% Eg: Ifhewonthe prize , he would buya new car Iftheyhadsome money , they would stayata hotel. Note : you can use could, might ,should Instead of would

The Third Conditional: Rule: If + subject + had + p.p verb, subject + would have + p.p verb.Type 3 : 1-is used to show an imaginary situation in the past / is contrary to the past -fact . 2- This type is used to express something impossible to fall or something did not happen or to express regret and Remorse for an event.Eg :Ifhehad studiedhard , he would have succeeded. If Ihad listento his advice, I wouldn't have lost the money. Note : you can use might have, should have, could have instead of would have .

  7. Form conditional sentence about the following situations : • They may leave the village, so they may sell the new car.…………………………………………………………………….................. • Ali is too tired. He won’t join us. …………………………………………………………………….................. • They may take a taxi , so they may arrive on time. …………………………………………………………………….................. • That car is too expensive , so I won’t buy it. ......................................................................................... • Samya is busy, so she won’t come with us. ……………………………………………………………………………………..
