Next Steps • Close books on 2012-13 • Determine actual 2013-14 beginning balances (Sept) • Monitor legislative actions • LCFF Implementation • Advance apportionment with “true up” at P1 (February 2014) • Revise District Adopted Budget • Within 45 days of State Budget Adoption • Continually monitor cash flow and reserves • The combination of deferrals, ongoing expenditure increases, and the reduction of reserves is diminishing the cash cushion that we’ve been able to maintain 11
