Introduction Vinay Dhingra BI Practice Manager, Apps Associates • 12+ years of experience as BI Architect, Tech lead, PM, etc. • Practice Manager with Apps Associates managing 50+ consultants • Lead Consultant/Architect in Core Engineering group at Oracle for Financial and HR Analytics • Consultant in US with KPI Partners and started the BI GDC for them • Holds Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering • Vinay has participated in over 20 Business Intelligence implementation / upgrades • Lead the first Oracle BI Financial Analytics implementation in 2008

Today’s Discussion Heterogeneous Data Sources and Their Integration Leveraging Oracle BI Apps / OBIEE What is BI ? • Business Intelligence (BI) is a broad category of applications and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing and providing access to data to help enterprise users make better business decisions. • BI Applications includes the activities of decision support system, query and reporting, online analytical processing (OLAP), statistical analysis, forecasting and data mining.
