  3. Sound Waves • What is vibration? • Rapid back and fourth movement of matter. • What does vibration have to do with sound?

  4. Sound Waves • We hear sound as a result of the vibration of objects which create what is called a sound wave.

  5. Sound Waves • We hear sound in many different ways. • Loudness, Pitch. • These sounds differ depending on the movement of their sound wave.
