Whats the Point??? • Throughout the year we have practiced how to speak Spanish. What better way to practice then to visit a Spanish speaking country. • Malaga has 3,000 years of history behind it so its bound to be educational and full of culture. • Malaga will also give us the opportunity to see all the different types of architecture from many different personalities.
What's the Plan Stan? On May 28 at 11:30am Depart from Sky Harbor Airport Arrive in Malaga Spain on May 29 at approximately 2:10pm The trip will consist of 1 and a half day traveling there then 7 days of educational visits to museums, city tours, cathedrals, and much more. On June 6 we will leave and take an additional day and a half for the journey home. On June 6 at 5:30pm we will Depart from Malaga, Spain Arrive in Sky Harbor Airport on June 7 at 4:00pm

Day 1 • Sunday-Going to the Picasso museum in Malaga, Spain would be a great learning experience for all the students. The museum is located where Picasso was born and it has over 150 pieces of his work. The museum is in the Palacio de Buenavista, which is a 17th-century palace. Students would learn many different styles of Spanish art from the multiple paintings, sculptures, drawings, etchings and ceramics. • Price: $0
Day 2 • Monday- To really get to know the city of Malaga they offer bike tours. The bike tour takes the riders through back streets and through hidden plazas which most people never see while visiting Malaga. While being on the bike tour the students will see three thousands year of civilization. • Price: $29.66 for a 4 hour tour.
Day 3 • Tuesday- We will be going to Artola-CaboPino beach. Going to the beach will be very educational because it will be a good chance to meet locals and use all the vocabulary we have used throughout the year. It is a large clean beach with golden sands. While we are there we can rent sun beds and parasols. • Price: $100 dollars for shopping and/or renting sun bed or parasols
Day 4 • Wednesday – We will be going to La Alcazaba. This is a military fortress built by the Moors in the 11th century on the remains of a Roman fortress. The fortress lies on a hilltop with a good view over the town and sea and originally consisted of 3 protecting walls (only 2 still remain), more than 100 towers and an upper section with a residential area, including 3 palaces.
Day 5 • Thursday – We will visit the Santiago church. This church is situated in calleGranada and was constructed in the 16th century in a mixture of Gothic and Arab style. This was also the church were Pablo Picasso was baptized. It will be a very educational to visit a foreign church so that students can be exposed to the different customs that the Country has.
Day 6 • Friday – Our last day in Malaga, Spain will be used to relax and take in as much as we can before we leave but the main thing we will do on this day is go see a tradition of Malaga that dates back to ancient days. Bullfighting. The bullfighting ring in Malaga dates back to 1874 and has a total capacity of about 14,000 people. You can still see bullfighting in this ring to this day.
Hotel • While in Malaga we will be staying in the very nice Hotel Alameda. • We will be staying in 2 double rooms with two single beds for all 7 nights. • For pricing see next slide.
Prices • Hotel • 7 nights for one room is 400. So with 2 to each room it will be 200 a person for the hotel. • Food • $150 a day per person + $200 for 4 travel days – 1100$ per person for whole trip should be plenty for food • Activities • For 6 days pact full of adventure it should be around 800 dollars a person for all activities. (this includes lunch and shopping expences. • Total – around $2000 plus Airfare Would be around $3000 per person for the whole trip.
