Green screen photography can also be referred as Chroma Key effect and in this technology the photographer will replace the background image of the photo digitally with subject to any other background in the image. In this technique, the actual background image is merged with another image using some editing tools. In green screen photography, the background can be either green or blue colour because it would be right contrast for human skin tone. INTRODUCTION • Green screen photography can also be referred as Chroma Key effect and in this technology the photographer will replace the background image of the photo digitally with subject to any other background in the image. • In this technique, the actual background image is merged with another image using some editing tools. • In green screen photography, the background can be either green or blue colour because it would be right contrast for human skin tone.

EQUIPMENTS NEEDED FOR GREEN SCREEN PHOTOGRAPHY • For green screen photography, the photographer should have high end cameras such as Point and Shoot Camera, Single Lens Reflex Camera • In Point and Shoot Camera, the flash is an inbuilt option. • In Single Lens Reflex Camera, the lens can be interchanged easily.

  5. POINT AND SHOOT CAMERA • In Point and Shoot Camera, white balance can’t be set in it. • Because there is a built in flash, it might result to unpleasant shadows in the picture.

  6. SINGLE LENS REFLEX CAMERA • In this camera, the photographer can select the green colour muslin, Chroma key paint and woven polyester. • Added to that, having muslin green or blue cloth would be significant while using Chroma keying. • When using the Single Lens Reflex, it is best to avoid the plastic sheets. Instead studio light can be used and they also have diffusers too.

CONCLUSION • The green screen photography technique is mainly used in film making and also used for photo shoots during the time of wedding, birthday party’s etc. • By using this technique, you make the actor to act in green screen background and later the background can be replaced accordingly. • This technique is also used for advertisement purpose and it allows the photographer to take portrait photography with advanced technologies too.
