  1. What is it like to work in a STEM job? In the Careers Zone you discover a wide range of possible careers in science and engineering right from the people who’ve been there: Real scientists and engineers based all over the country.

  2. TEACHER INFORMATION • Ask IT to whitelist the relevant sites* before the day of the event to ensure the chat works. • Familiarise yourself with the websitebefore you brief students. • Generate a Student Registration Link using the button on your profile. Note: Emails are optional when students register- they can leave this field blank • Show the next slide to your students to introduce the event. • Log into computers 5-10 minutes before live chat to make sure everything works. • Watch the chat and use the Delete and Suspend buttons if needed to block any naughty behavior.

  3. STUDENT INFORMATION Today you’ll get the chance to have a live with people working in STEM jobs. In this chat you can ask questions– you might want to think about what to ask before the chat starts. Keep your username. You can log in again later (from home) to read about any of the 150 STEM professionals and them questions

  4. STUDENT INFORMATION Log in: Go the [TEACHER INSERT URL] to register on the site. Write your username in your planner so you can use it again at home. Before the chat: Find out about the people by reading their profiles.

STUDENT INFORMATION • During the chat: • Click at the top of the page to join the chat. • Click on an expert’s name (bottom of page) to tag them before you start typing your question – this makes sure they see it. • Click on someone’s comment to reply to it. • Don’t write in capital letters, spam or be rude or you will be blocked from the chat by your teacher.

  6. STUDENT INFORMATION After the chat: Keep your username and log in anytime to read more profiles and a question to any of the 150 people on the website. Add your email to your profile to be emailed about answers to your questions.
