Two Battles between King Ahab of Israel and King Ben Hadadof Syria • I Kings 20:28 • 28And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

  3. First Battle on the Mountain • I Kings 20:13-25 • King Ahab of Israel in Samaria had his first victory in battle against Ben Hadad king of the Syrians. • The Israelites had slaughtered the Syrians with a great slaughter on a mountain in Palestine.

  4. Second Battle in the Valley • I Kings 20:26-43 • King Ahab of Israel in Samaria had his second victory in battle against Ben Hadad king of the Syrians. • The Israelites had slaughtered 100,000 Syrian soldiers in one day.
