Honors Level Courses • Offer students the opportunity to earn more quality points towards their grade point average than regular courses. • An “A” is worth 5 points, “B” is worth 4 points and a “C” is worth 3 points towards the student’s GPA. • Content of the course is more rigorous and challenging in pacing as well as depth of topics covered.
Advanced Placement Courses • Offer students the opportunity to earn more quality points towards their grade point average than regular courses. • An “A” is worth 6 points, “B” is worth 5 points and a “C” is worth 4 points towards the student’s GPA. • Content of the course is at a college level, but supported by proven and effective best practices and instructional strategies.
