  11. Grading Scale • 100 % = 4 • 99%- 83%= 3 • 82%- 70 %= 2 • 69 – below = 1

  12. Guidance/Media/Technology/ Math Lab • New programs • being held at CES • Students are rotating between these four specials.

  14. CLASSROOM RULES • Be prepared • Complete home and school assignments • Follow directions • Work quietly • Respect others- be kind in actions and words • Work and play safely

  16. AGENDAS • Each student should have an agenda to keep track of daily assignments. • The agendas need to be checked daily by parents. • Parents please check these every night to help the students stay on task and learn responsibility.

  17. HOMEWORK • Homework will be assigned in 5th grade daily. • Check your students agenda nightly for homework assignments. • Homework Hotline or Teacher web pages

  18. ATTENDANCE • 7:40 AM-2:20 PM • To be an unexcused absence, a note must be sent in with a parent signature explaining the reason for the absence. • No bus changes. • Phone calls will not excuse an absence. • If absent, five days will be given for make-up work. • Car rider line will be locked at 7:40A.M. If arriving after that time, student must be checked in at the front office.

IMPORTANT TEST DATES • Georgia Writing Test March 7th, 2012 • CRCT (Criterion Referenced Competency Test) • Reading April 11, 2012 • Language Arts April 12, 2012 • Math April 17, 2012 • Science April 18, 2012 • Social Studies April 19, 2012 • (Students must meet standards in reading and math in order to be promoted to 6th grade) • Benchmark Assessments: End of each nine week period in Math and Language Arts
