  4. Manorialism is the economic side of Feudalism. It includes the relationship between the Lord and his serfs.

  6. Manors Consisted of: • Serf Housing (few dozen huts) • Mill to grind grain into flour • Church • Fields: Small divided fairly • Manor House/Castle • Everything was owned by the Lord and the serfs had to pay to use these services

  7. Reflection Why did serfs consent to living on the manor under such poor conditions?

  8. Assignment Pretend you are living on a Medieval Manor. Write a letter to a distant friend describing your living conditions and daily life.
