Being a BullyLesson for Day 1 Once a little Being said to itself: I’m going to have everything my own way.
“But what about others?” asked Something Inside the little Being “Others must do what I tell them”, replied the little Being.
“But what if they don’t want to do what you tell them”? Something Inside the Little Being continued.
“Then I will make them”, answered the little Being. How? asked Something Inside. Be quiet! Snapped the Little Being and it walked away.
Chatting • Can you think of a word to describe how this little Being is thinking and talking? • What does little Being think of others? • What does little Being mean when it says that ‘others must do what I tell them? • What do you feel when you listen to this story about little Being? • Was little Being happy, do you think? • See page 252 for more chatting points.
Story continued.... The little Being had not run far when it met its friends. “Where did you get that”? They asked. “I found it”, the little Being replied. “Now I will pick teams and we will play”.
“But you cannot pick all the teams”, said one of its friends. That would not be fair..... “I say what’s fair and what’s not fair”, the little Being said, shoving its friends aside. It’s NOT FAIR
The rest of the friends said nothing, but began to play. Soon an argument arose and one little friend-Being said: “That’s not allowed; it’s against the rules”. What do you think everyone is feeling?
“What rules”? the first little Being shouted. “This is my game andImake the rules. I say who’s in and who’s out!”
