Beginning of Queen Victoria’s Life • Queen Victoria was born May 24,1819 at Kensington Palace in London. • Queen Victoria was an only child. • Queen Victoria’s father died shortly after her birth. • At 18 years of age she became queen on June 20,1837.
Queen Victoria in Throne • Queen Victoria became queen in 1837. • Her coronation wasn’t until 1838. • When she became queen one of her first prime ministers said “Aren’t you a little to short to be queen.” • Queen Victoria was in reign longer than any other British monarch .

Reign Comes to an End • Queen Victoria died from a blood clot in her brain in 1901. • She was queen from June 20, 1837 - January 22, 1901 63 years,7 months, and 2 days. • Canada passed a law allowing after Queen Victoria died declaring for every year on May 24 was Victoria Day unless it was on a Sunday it would be celebrated on the May 25.
