9. Cómo rehusar una invitación= How to turn down an invitation • Lo siento, pero tengo otro compromiso. I’m sorry, but I have another engagement. • Gracias, pero no puedo. Tengo que + infinitivo. Thank you, but I can’t. I have to + verb. • Lo siento, no puedo. Tengo mucho que hacer. Sorry, I can’t. I have a lot to do. • Tal vez, otro tiempo. Perhaps another time. • Quizás, más tarde. Maybe later. • Me gustaría, pero no puedo. I would like to, but I can’t. • De ninguna manera . = No way. • No tengo ganas de + infinitivo. = I don’t feel like + verb.

10. A Uds. les toca…En parejas • Invita a un compañero a salir contigo. Usa cada de las cuatro expresiones una vez con un lugar diferente. • Tu compañero tiene que aceptar dos veces y rehusar dos veces, empleando una expresión diferente cada vez. • Cambien de papeles para repetir la actividad.
