The Norwegian Centre for Sciences Education is to • develop and improve contents and methods in the teaching of natural sciences through research, experimental and development projects. ”New curriculum” • The Knowledge Promotion is the latest reform in the 10-year compulsory school and in upper secondary education and training • Implementation started 2006
The Budding Reseacher • This involves the formulation of hypotheses, experimentation, systematic observations, openness, discussions, critical assessment, argumentation, grounds for conclusion and presentation
The Natural Schoolbag • The main goals are to develop curiosity and knowledge about nature, awareness of sustainable development and increased commitment to the environment. Projects should be based on the Knowledge Promotion 2006, both the core curriculum and subject curricula
The Natural Bag will help to exploit the school community as a learning arena and use different regional and national resources. This means that it should pave the way for the voluntary organizations' expertise can be used, so that schools have added updated and necessary competences that can make learning more relevant and updated
