Charge to Regional Library System Configuration Task Force: “Develop recommendations for reconfiguration of Nebraska regional library Systems with options for fewer regions in light of reduced and uncertain future funding”

Core services to be offered: consulting, training, networking, personal contact, information, etc. • Agreement between the Commission and the System will be rewritten and updated. • Current amount of funding (about $600,000) will be kept at that level, but used by the 4 Systems rather than by 6 Systems. • Commission will cover legal costs Basics Agreed Upon
Systems meeting with legal counsel to determine steps for reconfiguration • Systems holding explanatory meetings • Systems holding meetings at which members will vote on reconfiguration (some at this conference) • Formation of “transition boards” in some of the Systems What is going on now ?
