Proxy Access • Your student can assign proxy access and a passphrase for you to use when speaking to university staff. This is similar to a passphrase that a hospital might use to share information about a patient. • Some of the proxy features are similar to a “parent portal” that you may have used in K-12 schools. • The student always has control over who has authority to view and can make changes at any time. • *Your student is always the best person to provide you with information.
Assigning Proxy Access Your student will login to my.okstate.edu using their OKEY login. This is the screen they will see under the “Self service” tab. From this page, they will click on the Proxy Access tab
Assigning Proxy Access Under the Profile tab, the student will create your profile and passphrase. The passphrase is required to confirm your identity if you contact OSU by phone. *Students can add additional proxies if they wish
Assigning Proxy Access Under the Authorization tab, the student will assign your authorizations which sets what features you can view. They can select any or all of these authorizations.
Proxy Access Email You will receive an email like this one when your student creates your proxy access. Follow the instructions to login. To: Your Name (your.email@gmail.com) Your Student has added you with this email address (your.email@gmail.com) as a proxy in the Oklahoma State University Student Self Service system. Proxy access authorizes you to view select academic information for the student via the Self Service system. To activate your proxy access, click the link below and enter the Temporary Action Password provided: Proxy Access Activation Link: https://ssb.okstate.edu/OSU/bwgkpxya.P_PA_Action?p_token=QUFBY3E0QUFDQUFQUWF4QUFr Temporary Action Password: FRUO7XYZ Once activated, you will be asked to establish a new PIN for future access. Use the Temporary Action Password above as the "Old PIN" during this step. To login to Proxy Access in the future, use the Proxy Access Activation Link provided above. If you feel you have received this message in error, please forward to registrar@okstate.edu
Logging in to Proxy Access When you first login for proxy access you will have to change your PIN
Proxy Authorizations Under the tab with your student’s name on it, you will see what you have access to view Your student’s name Each of the links to the left will take you to a new window where you can view various screens such as schedules, registration holds, grades, transcripts etc.
