  4. Response of Moses “Shall your brethren go to war while you sit here?” Will Discourage “Now why will you discourage the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD has given them?” Num. 32:7

Thus your fathers did when I sent them away from Kadesh Barnea to see the land. 9 "For when they went up to the Valley of Eshcol and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, so that they did not go into the land which the LORD had given them. Num. 32:8-9

  6. Response of Moses “Shall your brethren go to war while you sit here?” Sinful men - increase God’s anger “And look! You have risen in your father's place, a brood of sinful men, to increase still more the fierce anger of the LORD against Israel.” Num. 32:14

  7. Response of Moses “Shall your brethren go to war while you sit here?” Destroy God’s People "For if you turn away from following Him, He will once again leave them in the wilderness, and you will destroy all these people.“ Num. 32:15

Agreement Num. 32:16-19 - 2 ½ tribes Will build sheepfolds and cities We will go with children of Israel Will not return until they have inheritance Num. 32:20-23 - Moses If you do this you can have this land “But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out.” v. 23

  9. Application We are at War - Spiritual war Eph. 6:10-18 Put on the whole armor of God Stand against the wiles of the devil We are in the Lord’s Army - fighting against evil

  10. Application Much has been done before our time Stood for truth Makes it possible for us to be faithful The War wages on even today ! We must continue to stand against sin And Work to overcome the devil

  11. Shall our brethren Go to war While we sit here ? Let others do the work Shall we sit and enjoy the efforts of others While we sit back and do nothing What is the Effect ? Discourage our brethren Just as bad as active opposition Matt. 12:30 - gather or scatter Sin against the Lord

  12. Shall our brethren Go to war While we sit here ? When all of us do our part…. Congregation will grow Each of us will grow Unity in congregation Souls will be Saved

  13. Shall our brethren Go to war While we sit here ? Reuben Gad and ½ of Manasseh did their part Went to war with the other tribes Then they returned home “So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.” Joshua 22:6 I will do my part !
