Why should I get active? WHY? • To do more service and help your community • To meet new people and get involved with your school • To spend time with other service minded high school-ers • To make the most of your key club experience • To have fun!
Attend Club Meetings • Hear about upcoming events and projects • Time to socialize with other Key Clubbers • Get to know your officers and leaders
Service Projects • One of the main goals of Key Club is to do service • Give back to the community • Awesome bonding experience with other Key Clubbers • Suggest your own service projects to officers if you have something in mind
Attend Division Functions Divisional Events • Lots of different types: • DCM’s • Service Projects • KCKC • Spring Zone Rallies • Get to meet cool Key Clubbers from different schools • Break from the norm • Meet your Lt. Governors
Become a Committee Chair Committees • Every Key Club should have committees set up by the V.P. • Ask to be a Chair! • Examples: • DCON • Eliminate • Service • Fundraising
Become a Club Officer • Don’t be afraid, You win no matter what! • Lose: Gain valuable campaigning experience. • Win: You get to be in that office • Leadership experience • Learn how to work with a group of officers • Learn how to make a club successful
Editor • Makes all of the club publications • Takes pictures at events • Manages Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts • Helps club plan to apply for awards
Treasurer • Prepares a budget at the start of each year • Manages the clubs finances • Fills out all deposit forms and purchase orders • Oversees the collection of club dues
Secretary • -Manages the club records • -Takes minutes at club meetings • -Takes notes at all officers meeting about what needs to be talked about at the next club meeting • -Fills out pride reports
VP/ President • President • Oversees all of the club operations • Works with the officers • Leads service projects and events • Represents the club Vice President • Not necessarily the easy job • Oversees committee system • Works with the President on all issues • Fills in when the President is absent
