Objectives • The main objective of this economic proposal is to put forward a variety of private initiatives directed to the valorization of LEFIS´ results and products. • The aim is to bring LEFIS closer to the target audience and to elaborate new projects and applications of interest for the LEFIS members. • The timeframe for carrying out these activities is from 1st August 2006 through to the end of February 2007. Developing the Lefislit Website Lefislit is an international website under the scope of LEFIS to build up an International School for Law and the knowledge and Information Technologies (ISLIT). www.lefislit.org The main objectives of the site (currently under development) are: • The publication of e-learning training courses and seminars • To edit new courses for Lefis members • To provide specialised training for trainers • To edit other information and materials related to Information, Law & Technology including: Conferences, Lefis Projects, Proposals for New Projects, etc Lefis General Assembly, Beja 19-21 October 2006

Presentation of New Projects • When possible, elaboration and presentation of proposals of R+D+i projects in the research and development areas of Lefis • Projects to support and increase the international mobility of law teachers • Education and Training projects within the scope of Socrates and Leonardo European initiatives (e.g. the creation of a European Virtual University to contribute to the development of new policies & regulations derived from the implementation of new technologies) Lefis General Assembly, Beja 19-21 October 2006

Presentation of New Projects • We have already submitted a project proposals for the e- Participation initiative, e-PISET (e-Participation in Southern European Towns) • The aim of the initiative is to encourage public participation in the legislation decision making process • We have proposed the testing of a prototype tool derived from the technical resources already used for Lefis. The tool will be tested in the legislative process of 3 Southern European Towns based in Spain, Portugal and Greece. • The tool will be divided into 4 modules: • Information module to access information • Questionnaire module • Analysis module • PKI module Lefis General Assembly, Beja 19-21 October 2006

International Promotion • By adding the Lefis website to international search engines. • Presenting Lefis to Law Universities around the world in order to get new associates. • To present Lefis in national and international congress and conferences.
