This report examines the proficiency levels of ELA and Math in grades 3-8 and compares them to the suburban cohort. It also analyzes the trend data over the past 7 years to identify any improvements or declines in student performance.

Moving to Mastery A Look at Level 4
Trend Data • A look at how we have performed over the past 7 years • How that trend data compares with the suburban cohort • Since the test has evolved during the years, the trend data comparison will give us a clearer picture of student performance.
ELA trends Summary • Grades 4, 5, 7, & 8 have recently increased performance and moved ahead of the suburban cohort • For each of those grades, 10 points or higher • Grades 3 & 6 both showed a decline • Gr 6 – 1 year • Gr 3 - 2 year decline
Math Trends Summary • With the exception of 1 grade level, all have improved proficiency since the onset of the CC exams • With the exception of one grade level, all are out performing the average of the suburban cohort • Grades 4, 5, 6 are 5 points or higher
