This project focuses on engaging students in civic monitoring activities to promote active citizenship. Through the School Lab initiative at a Technical High School, students learn about public integrity, local land policies, and how public money is spent. They are trained to monitor public procurement procedures, fostering competence and tools for active citizenship. The project includes planning and implementing civic monitoring activities, conducting research and data collection, field evaluations, interviews, and analysis. Students work collaboratively in groups, and the project aims to empower them to become active citizens. The future of the project, results, challenges, and the impact on students' engagement are also discussed.
