  1. Brownie the Hero

  2. In a forest far far away, there lived a hare called Brownie.

  3. Brownie had very large and long ears and he looked very weird.

  4. All the other animals in the forest did not like Brownie and stayed away from him.

  5. However, Brownie had a very special talent that no one knew about. He could tell the weather.

  6. While at school, Brownie was always teased by his classmates.

  7. “Can I play with you?” Brownie asked his classmates. All answered, “No! Go away!”

  8. As Brownie walked away sadly, his ears began to itch.

  9. He knew that a flood was coming to the forest.

  10. Brownie was worried for the other forest animals. He went to knock on every house to tell them about the flood.

  11. However, none of the animals believed and sent him away.

  12. To save his friends, he decided to build a rock wall.

  13. However, before Brownie could finish building the wall, the flood came.

  14. The other animals saw the flood water and came to help build the wall.

  15. Together they finished building a high wall and stopped the flood water.

  16. From that day onwards, Brownie made many new friends and they all lived happily ever after.
