Probable origin of Pseudodiaptomus serricaudatus in Italy: - Asian coastal waters - African coastal waters - Red Sea (Lessepsian migration) Probable modes of introduction: aquaculture, ballast water of ship So far no evidence of competition for food with local demersal calanoids or other species Pseudodiaptomus is expanding its territory in the subtropical and temperate regions of America and Europe, probably also elsewhere Conclusions
