  1. Welcome to Law and Society Room 504 Mr. Loescher

  2. What will we study in Law? • We will take a look at the American legal system starting with Criminal Law • We will perform a mock trial based upon a constitutional issue • Students will work as lawyers and witnesses • We will conclude the year with a study of Civil Law

  3. As Parents, what should I stay on top of? • We don’t have any homework, all work is done in class • We do have regular quizzes and tests • www.thebigL.org

  5. What is going on in Gov’t? Discussion Why do you believe that? Are you sure?

  6. What will we study in Gov’t? • We will take an in-depth look at the three branches of gov’t • We will study the founding fathers creation of the Constitution • We will focus on what is happening in the world around us • Our role as Christians in this republic

  7. As Parents, what should I stay on top of? • Current Events are due every Thursday, Current Events Quiz each Friday • Do your best to talk to them about what is going on in the world around them • www.thebigL.org

  8. Welcome to 7th Grade American/Ohio History Room 504 Mr. Loescher

What is going on in History? • Geography Quizzes Every Thursday • On Tuesday, they will get a Geo Sheet • At the end of the 9 weeks, we will have a Geography Test • Questions of the Day • Most days we have a QOD, they will keep in their folder and turn in on test days • This will move to the Ipads once they are up and running

  10. What is going on in History? • Homework…I don’t give a lot of homework. • Typically, I will give class time for work, and if not finished, then it becomes homework • Starting Next week we will typically have a quiz one week, followed by a test the next week. (Test Monday) • www.thebigL.org
