  1. Stress Free Webinar! Is Everything Up and Running?

  2. Start with the basics • Connection with GoToWebinars may take some time, so log on 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the Webinar. • There is no need for a phone connection to the Webinar. • Audio will be through your laptop, so connect external speakers to your laptop. These are connected in the “headphone” plug on your laptop.

  3. Set up the equipment. • Set up your laptop with internet connection. • Use the laptop power cord for power. • Attach the LCD projector to the laptop in the appropriate ports and plug into a power source. • Connect external speakers to your laptop in the “headphone” plug on your laptop. • Turn on the laptop and LCD and position them so everyone will have a shared view of the screen.

  4. How do I get to the Webinar? • Highlight and “copy” the link in the email OR Write down the link – sample link: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/join/758915032/106635436 • Close out of Citrix • Connect to your internet browser. • “Paste” or type the link into the browser. • Click and you should connect.

  5. Still can’t connect? Please call Citrix Technical Support: 800-263-6317 You will then be prompted to enter in commands. At the prompt enter: 2 for GoToWebinar,  then 2 for Tech support

  6. Speaker Volume Controls Check the volume of your speakers. There are two volume control panels for your speakers. You access them by either a right click or a left click on the speaker icon

  7. Adjust Your Volume Left click on the speaker icon and this control panel should appear. Adjust your volume control level by moving the bar up and down. Be sure the “mute” box is unchecked!

  8. Check both control panels! Right click on the speaker icon, and this control panel should appear. Be sure all the “Volume” bars are adjusted properly. Be sure all the “mute” boxes are unchecked.

  9. Checked all this and you still can’t hear? Did you connect through Citrix? There could be a problem with your Citrix settings, so leave the webinar, exit Citrix, and log in directly through your internet browser by pasting in the link from your email.

  10. Just in case… If you could not fix the problems today, or if there are problems the day of the Webinar, we recommend you be prepared to go to “Plan B”. We’ll record and post the Social Media webinars so you can re-play them for your office at a later time.

  11. “Plan B” Options Your “Plan B” might include: Covering a workshop that was missed or that you want to re-visit. Conducting a brainstorming session on the use of specific social media Web sites. Asking an Associate who has been successful with online social media to be “on call” to do a demonstration.
