The demand is higher than on the old course at foundation and higher tier level. Everyone (nationally) is in the same position! 9-1 Maths – need to know
There will be three 1.5 hour exams (all 80 marks) • Paper 1: Non calculator (25th May) • Paper 2: Calculator (8th June) • Paper 3: Calculator (13th June) Any taught content can appear on any paper. Don’t assume that questions must involve using a calculator just because they’re on the calculator paper! The exams

Get a revision guide and workbook - £5 from me for both • Complete workbook pages weekly. Annotate any Qs/pages that need teacher input What they should be doing

Make sure they are organised • Reassure them • Ask them to explain their answers or methods to you – you don’t necessarily have to understand the maths • Check that they are doing questions weekly (if they can’t show you some, then that’s not effective revision) I will be setting problem solving Qs weekly for HW – they are essential but don’t count in the above! • Test them on the formulae that they need to know How you can help
