Welcome toSt. Peter! • The readings, hymns and prayers for today help us overcome our doubts and fears by focusing our attention on Christ and his power, compassion and love for us. • As you enjoy some physical rest this holiday, may your soul receive spiritual rest through Jesus’ words and promises.

Prayer before Worship • Lord Jesus, too often I feel like Peter – drowning in my fears and doubts. • Thank you for reaching out to me with your love and power. • Reassure me that I am walking through life with my weak hand in your strong hand. • Please bless me and all who are here today to worship and praise you, for you are our Good Shepherd and Savior. Amen.

  9. Sunday Jesus & Me (JAM) News New year begins Sunday, September 7th between services For children ages 3-6th grade Pre registration is encouraged

  10. Spiritual Growth Opportunities “Bible Stories: Not Just for Kids” –class starts 9/7 –study the same lessons as the Sunday JAM class “Worship the Lord” – taught Sun mornings (starts 9/7) & Wed mornings (starts 9/10) “Wake up with Jesus” at Key to Life starts Friday 9/5

  12. Choir practices starting! • Handbell Ringer rehersals begin Monday, Sept 8th at 6:00 p.m. • H.I.S Choir (youth choir) begins Wednesday, Sept 10th at 6:00 p.m. • Senior Choir begins Wednesday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m.
