  1. 1st Day Highlights! • Take Advantage of this Rare Opportunity to Use Your Phone: • Select a picture that highlights your summer; • When Ehrfurth says, “Go!” share why you selected that pic with the person next to you! • **Before you leave NEATLY write your first and last name on a notecard and place it in your hour’s bin.##

  2. Welcome Back!!! Please sit where your Notecard is placedThen, when given the cue by Ehrfurth, we’ll start the Welcome Back Partner Exchange: How was your day yesterday & so far today? How are you feeling about school? Fired up? Notecards = strategy for establishing groups and using for class activities. Today they’re used to share ideas with a partner. 2ndDay Sept. 4

Summer Reading & Writing Assignment: If you didn’t read How to Read Literature Like a Professor by Foster, The Importance of Being Earnest by Wilde, and The Awakening by Kate Chopin over the summer, start reading and start taking notestonight. ALL summer homework reading and writing due Sept. 13. And other learning assignments along the way. If you’ve finished, KUDOS! You have opportunity to add insights between now and Sept. 13. • “Show & Tell: The High School Version” – due Fri., Sept. 6th
