  7. What is your first impression? • In your pairs give feedback to your partner: • What is your first impression? • What did you notice about what they said, their tone, their body language? • How did you feel about them when they had finished their introduction? Personal impact and influence

The Advice Giver May jump in too quickly before the speaker has the chance to articulate their thoughts • The Faker • They nod but its clear they aren’t listening • The interrupter • They can’t wait for you to finish The Rebuttal Maker Listens only to find a rebuttal The Happy Trapper Uses the message only to get their point across The Intellectual or Logical Listener They are interestedin what’s behind the message and are judging based on what they already know Engage for Success
