  2. Givers understand their purpose • There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light • I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness • Make straight the way for the Lord.

  3. Givers do not pretend to be something they are not. • I am not the Messiah. • Are you Elijah? • Are you the Prophet?

  4. Givers are humble • John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair • His food was locusts and wild honey. • The straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.
