Introduction to KISTI’s pilot project • “대용량실험데이터이용지원센터” • means, “center to support the use of large-scale experimental data” • Pilot project • First 3 years ( 2009~2011 ) • Will support HEP community • 1,200 cpu, 1.2 PB • After that, this project will be extended to the main project. • Funding • More than $1M for a year will be funded by MEST • MEST ( Ministry of Education, Science & Technology )

  5. 4.Summary • Current Status • Currently, ALICE Tier2 Centre (WLCG) is running • 30TB storage will be available for ALICE Tier2( several TBs could be available for CGCC testbed if needed ) • First step that we want to propose • Building and testing Fermilab-KISTI testbed before run CGCC • There was an abstract answer from Donatella Lucchesi • We’d like to setup testbed and to finish testing within this year. • Pilot Project System (from next year) • 1,000 cpu, 1.2 PB • About 1/3 will be allocated to CGCC • This system will support Fermilab., CERN/ALICE, KEK • Network • The system will be connected to GLORIAD (10G)
