So … What is up with OTISS? • The Online Testing Irregularity Submission System was used statewide for all irregularity reports last year. • There are currently 3,214 users. • There are 6,200 reports in the system.
Top Six Reported Irregularities • Student(s) was ill/had injury – 1258 • Approved accommodation/exemption not provided – 400 • Student not required to take test – 333 • Teacher/proctor failed to follow directions – 325 • Other – 296 • School staff administered the wrong test – 281 • Cell phones - 258
New Features in OTISS • #1 - Archive feature will separate irregularity reports by school year. • Will make finding current reports easier!
New Feature #2 • Submit button will be disabled after one click. • No more duplicate submissions!
New Feature #3 • Save button for adding notes to a report will be disabled after one click. • No more duplicate notes!
New Feature #4 • New box for Test Administrator’s Name on reporting screen. • No more wondering who administered the assessment!
New Feature #5 • Users will be able to bulk upload student information files. • No more entering multiple students!
New Feature #6 • Central offices will be added for reporting irregularities that occur at the LEA level. • No more phone calls to Brian about this issue!
New Feature #7 • Report will automatically save all text while report is being entered. • No more re-entering reports!
Bugs We Have Fixed • To and From designations for notes • Misspellings in notification emails • Administrator has more options to help users
Reporting Features • Individual reports may be printed • Excel spreadsheets of all reports in your school, LEA, or region • Demonstration
Going Forward • Code refresh will take place twice-a-year. • Feedback welcome. • The field will be participating in testing the system before releases. • Irregularity categories will be reviewed and revised if deemed necessary.
